No, I can't pronnounce it either, but that's Icelandic for ya...
I wish there was an English-speaking band that could produce a sound like that. Anyone happen to know of one? I know The Polyphonic Spree come close, as do The Flaming Lips in their grander moments, but there's something majestic about Sigur Rós's sound that I don't think the rest can quite capture.

It sounds like the dreams where you're a little child and you've just found a mountain of cookies.
Sadly, I don't think this song would fit in any of my I-don't-want-to-wake-up-right-now dreams. :P
I keep seeing Sigur Rós albums in the sale in various music stores. Whenever that happens I pick one up and think "Now, do I like them?"... I can never remember.
The problem is, it isn't really music you can sing along to, so maybe it tends not to stick in the head.
Then again, the tune for Hoppipola (I know that's not how it's spelt, but I can't be arsed to go find it to check) barely left my head for a month after I first heard it...
I have a music dvd of theirs... Their tour in Iceland. It's beautiful, and while I know it's convenient to download stuff, try to buy it. It's beautiful.
